Due to COVID-19 a 'Recovery Curriculum' has been planned to identify the gaps in learning for each subject. Each subject has been adapted to ensure the gaps in learning are rectified.  A particular focus is being placed on well-being for all children.

It is extremely important that children complete the homework task that has been set each week. The task has been selected to support the learning that is taking place within the classroom.

Class 5 homework will be set every Thursday and should be complete and handed back in on the following Tuesday.

Children will receive a piece of English homework each week - this will normally be to put in their homework books but could occasionally be online e.g. Education City. Normally spelling tasks have a game linked on EdShed.

Children will also receive online maths homework at least every 2 weeks - this will normally be on MyMaths but can sometimes be given for other websites such as Power Jam, MathsShed or Hit the Button.

It is expected that children should be reading their two reading books each week and return them to school on a Monday. This ensures that children's books can be changed each week allowing a period of quarantine. They also have their own log in details for 'Bug Club' and 'Oxford Owl Reading Buddies' that allows them to have access to 100s of books at their level that is supported by a 'reading buddy' to help and support them along the way.

This half term we are very lucky to be working with Tom again on a Monday morning, focusing on Circuit Training. We are also lucky enough to be working on our Multi skills on a Thursday morning with SSFC.  Please ensure your child has their full PE kit on these days, any pupils with long hair to have it tied up and that earrings are removed or covered.
