Be Unique;Believe, Achieve, Succeed Together
The children have been learning about fables in English. They have read a variety of fables and can identify the different features. They have looked closely at the animal personification, the morals of the stories and are currently identifying direct speech. They are beginning to learn the rules for writing direct speech.
The children used their story maps to orally rehearse their fable. Some children were very brave and volunteered to let me video them. They worked hard to use story language in their storytelling.
We have been working on writing Bedtime Stories. The children have looked at some exemplar texts. They have magpied their favourite words, phrases and sentences. Today they are working on their first paragraph. We worked together to create some ideas, then the children shared their work with a partner.
