The children enjoyed using the equipment to practice straddle and pike jumps. They worked hard to land and maintain their balance.

Children used the knowledge of straight jumps to attempt a straight jump half turn. The children found this quite challenging but worked hard to maintain their balance.

The children worked hard using their core muscles to create a log roll.

Throwing and catching

This term we are working with Mr. Newton. During this session the children were learning how to trow underarm and catch using two hands. Initially they practised this skill using a large ball.

Once the children had mastered using a large ball Mr. Newton moved them on to using the same skills with a small tennis ball.
