The children have been learning lots of information about Italy. They found Italy on a map, looked at the Tricolore flag and identified lots of things we have in England that are Italian in origin. They have also started to learn some greetings in Italian.
This week in Italian we have been learning numbers 0 to 5. Zero, uno, due, tre, Quattro and cinque.
The children had fun playing some games.
This week the children have started to learn the numbers 6 - 10. They played some games to help them recall each number.
Class 6 have been working hard to hold a brief conversation in Italian. With a little support they managed to greet each other and ask and answer some questions.
This week Class 6 have been learning the Italian words for a variety of classroom objects. Mrs Ariazzi asked the children to match the picture of the objects with the correct word. Then they had fun playing hangman using their new vocabulary.
This week in Italian the children have been learning the names of some farm animals.
