Literacy
Reading and Writing:
In Class 2 the children have a daily phonics lesson using the 'Sounds-Write' programme. The children are encouraged to recognise sounds within words and write these on their whiteboards. They are making amazing progress!
Some children are even beginning to write simple sentences independently! Their writing is wonderful!
Home Learning:
We give children reading books as frequently as possible and encourage parents to listen to their child read at home. This quality time helps children to internalise and apply their understanding of new sounds and words.
