Be Unique;Believe, Achieve, Succeed Together

Nursery Mrs Baxendale

                          Welcome to Hadrian Nursery!

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to our Nursery.  Here is some important information for you:

Nursery times are:

Morning session:  8.30 to 8.45 drop off.          11.15 to 11.30 pick up.

Afternoon session:  12.30 to 12.45 drop off.     3.15 to 3.30 pick up.

During drop off and pick up times, the gates will be open for 15 minutes.  Outside these times, gates are locked for the security of all of our Early Years children.  If you are unavoidably late, please 'phone school on 0191 4554514 to let us know.  Please also let us know if someone other than you will be collecting your child from Nursery.

Every Day your child will need:

A bottle of water.  Please ensure that your child's name is on their bottle.  No juice or fizzy drinks, please.

A bag with a complete change of clothing.  Children have continuous access to paint, water, a mud kitchen and other 'messy' areas and they will get wet and dirty!

Nappies, wipes and disposal bags, if not yet toilet trained.

Every Week we ask for a voluntary contribution of 50p per family.  This goes towards cooking ingredients for your child's baking sessions and party food for our celebrations.  Please put your donation in the basket in the cloakroom and tick your child's name off on the class list.

Return to Nursery for our Summer Term!

In Early Years, we follow EYFS Development Matters.  This divides Early Years learning into the following areas:  Communication and Langauge; Personal, Social, Emotional Development; Physical Development; Mathematics; Literacy; Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

                Forest School

We are delighted to be taking part in Forest School activities this year.  This exciting opportunity allows our children to literally take the classroom outdoors!

'It is an inspirational process, that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees'

- https//www.forestschoolassociation.org

Nursery children will take part in Forest School on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and will need to bring warm clothing and wellingtons to school on their special day.

(Don't worry - we have spares in case you forget!)
