Topics

Our Autumn term topics are;

Science: Teeth, Muscles and Skeleton

Geography: Improving the Environment

History: The Romans

Art: Investigating Pattern

Music: Exploring Sounds

D&T: Sandwich Snacks

RE: Islam

PSHE: New Beginnings

Homework

Homework is given out on Thursdays. It must be returned no later than the following Tuesday.

Reading Books

Children are asked to bring reading books into school every day. Children who bring in reading books everyday will have more opportunities to read in school and change their books.

Children need to read their reading books at home every day to an adult and should be reading approximately one book per week. To help your child progress with their reading, as well as listening to children read, you need to ask questions about what they have read to make sure that they have understood their books.

Library

We welcome parents to come in and share the library experience with children on Thursdays at 3:15pm. If you can’t make it then children have the opportunity to change their library book on Mondays. Previous library books must be returned before children can take out a new book.
