Important Dates:

 

Friday 24.11.17  and Monday 27.11.17 - Library visits - Children and adults meet at 'The Word' at 12.55pm/9.55am No session in nursery.  Free.

 

Friday 1.12.17 - Visit to Fenwick's window.  Children and adults meet at South Shields Metro at 9.30am.  Adults need to pay their own Metro fare.  No sessions in nursery today.  

 

Monday 4.12.17 - 'Santa's Naughty Elf' - Customs House, South Shields.  Meet inside at 10.15am.  Tickets only.  No sessions in nursery today. 

 

Thursday 14.12.17 - Nursery Nativity - all welcome!  9.15am.  All children are to attend the morning nursery session.  There will be no afternoon session on this day. 

 

Tuesday 19.12.17.  Nursery Christmas party  1pm- all children are invited to come to our party at 1pm.  There will be no morning session on this day.  Food and drinks will be supplied by nursery. 

 

Break up for Christmas on Friday 22nd December.   

 

 

We would like to offer you and your children a warm welcome to Hadrian Nursery.  Please do not hesitate to talk with staff if you have any questions or concerns. The Nursery staff are: Mrs Baxendale, Mrs Patterson, Mrs Whitehead, Miss Sultana,

Miss Wright and Mrs Giles.  

 

Our session times are:  

8.30-8.45am  to 11.15-11.30am (morning children) and

12.30-12.45 to 3.15-3.30pm (afternoon children)

 

The first and last 15 minutes of each session are flexible.  To prevent feelings of anxiety or upset, it is important to arrive and collect your child on time.  If you are unavoidably late, please 'phone the office so that we can explain this to your child.  

 

Please remember to bring the following to Nursery:

Every day:  A named bag with a complete change of clothes for your child.

Nappies, wipes and disposal bags, if necessary.

A named bottle of water (no juice or fizzy drinks, please)

 

On Mondays:  50p donation for cooking ingredients and special occasion celebration food.

Every day, children register their personal photos and meet with their friends for Large Group Activities, including our daily 'Wake up, Shake up'  and Phonics.  In addition to Self-Initiated Activities throughout the session, children will also take part in Basic Skills, Literacy and Numeracy tasks.  

 

We celebrate a wide range of cultural and religious festivals in Nursery, along with actively supporting several children's charities.  We will be adding photos to our class page throughout the year.
