Welcome to class 5
During the autumn term class 5's morning will start with a phonics session. This will be followed with guided reading and Literacy. After assembly and break there will be a maths lesson. In the afternoon there will be a mixture of outdoor provision, foundation subjects and story. Throughout the day children will continue to access continous provision on a rotational basis. PE will usually be on a Tuesday so please remove your child's earrings or send in plasters. PE days can change if the hall is in use so PE kits are to be left in school. Please encourage your child to read every night and to return their book back to school everyday.
In Literacy we are working on:
- Letter formation
- Writing in sentences
- Poetry and Rhyme
- Story telling
- Story writing
- Labels, lists and captions.
- Instructions
- Drama and Role play
In Numeracy we are working on:
- Numbers to 20 and beyond
- Problem solving
- Number sequences
- Addition and subtraction
- Shape, space and measure.
We will be adding photographs throughout the school year of class 5 working hard!
