RE

Moving our focus to a Muslim and Hindu perspective.

Our focus this week has been on why Christians should care for their environment. We explored their environmental beliefs and designed posters from their perspective as a Christian.

This term in RE we are looking at why people with a religious faith should care about their environment. So far we have explored and delivered verbal presentations on just a few environmental issues we face.

As we approach the festive season, this term we will be exploring what the Gospel stories tell us about the birth of Jesus.

To complete this topic, we enjoyed getting together with Class 10 to talk about both religions that we have been researching. We held some great discussions and discovered that both religions share many ceremonies and rituals that are similar, but often performed in different ways.

This term we are comparing and contrasting the rituals and ceremonies of Christians and Sikhs. So far we have enjoyed talking about special events in our own lives and finding out more about each religion and the different ceremonies they hold. .
