Autumn first half term: Tuesday 7th September - Thursday 21st October (Friday 22nd Inservice)

Autumn second half term: Monday 1st  November - Friday 17th December

Things to remember

Please remember to check that you have the correct uniform  - navy blue trousers or skirt / white polo top / navy blue jumper / blue and white checked dress and flat black shoes.

Please make sure you have your full PE kit on Thursday. You will need black or navy jogging bottoms or shorts, a white T. shirt, a black or navy hoodie and plimsoles or trainers. Your PE kit will be taken home on a Thursday evening to be washed and returned the following week. Earrings must be removed or covered (with plasters) for PE lessons.

Gardening will be every Wednesday afternoon starting 15th September until October half term. Please ensure children have a change of clothes as they may get dirty / muddy.  As the weather is unpredictable please ensure your child has a warm coat and suitable footwear (old trainers or better still welly boots).

Maths Homework is set every Thursday and is due the following Tuesday morning. This will be online homework so if you do not have access to an iPad, laptop or device for your homework, please speak to Miss Goodall or Miss Pippin before Tuesday so they can help you.

English Homework is also set on a Thursday and is due the following Tuesday. You will have homework books, but most of your work will be set online on our Google Classroom. You will be given spellings to learn each week, as well as some SPaG and sometimes a writing task. Please make sure you can login to Google Classroom and remember to check regularly for important updates.

Reading is a very important skill and Year 3 is no different to any other year. You will be expected to have a reading book in school every day. This book should go home and someone at home should try and read with you as often as possible but at least once per week. Your reading book should be returned to the classroom each morning and taken home again each evening. You will also be expected to access Reading Plus at home and you will have a target to meet each week.
