Maths is a big part of our learning in Class 3 and we enjoy finding different ways to explore numbers and solve problems. We have daily Maths lessons where we develop our understanding of number, shape, measure and problem-solving, as well as regular Mastering Number sessions to help us build confidence and fluency with our number skills.

The children are becoming very confident using a rekenrek and enjoy using it to explore numbers, counting and different ways of making amounts. We also spend time practising our number formation, doubles and number bonds, helping us to build strong foundations for our mathematical journey through school.

Each week, we enjoy using the DreamBox app on our iPads. DreamBox provides personalised maths activities that are matched to each child's learning and progress, giving everyone the opportunity to practise and develop their skills at their own level. The children love completing the different challenges and are always excited to see their progress!
