Computing systems and Networks - Technology around Us

In Computing, we have been learning all about Technology Around Us and discovering the different types of technology we use at school and at home. We have talked about what technology is used for and, most importantly, how we can use it safely and responsibly.

The children have been developing their computer skills and becoming more confident using a mouse. We have been practising clicking, dragging and dropping as we complete fun activities using 2Simple software. The children have particularly enjoyed designing their own zoos and helping to fix cars by moving objects around the screen. These activities are helping them to develop their mouse control and coordination while having lots of fun!

Each week, we also use our iPads to access our personalised maths learning through DreamBox. The children enjoy completing different challenges at their own level and are always excited to earn coins and stars as they work through their activities. It has been wonderful to see the children becoming more confident and independent when using technology to support their learning.
