Hello and welcome to our class page!
The reception year is a very exciting time for both parents and children. During this year we will all work together to ensure that your child will develop a love for learning which they will carry with them for the rest of their school journeys. We provide a nurturing and exciting learning environment to give all of our children the opportunity to grow and develop into happy and confident learners. We understand that children learn best when they are interested and intrigued.
If you have any problems or queries, no matter how small, please do not hesitate to speak to one of the team who will be happy to help you.
Please take time to look at this page regularly for class information updates and to see the fun that we are having together.
During Autumn 1 we will be learning all about ourselves. We will look at where we live, who we live with and what we look like. The book we will be focusing on is Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. We will use this story to learn about the importance of family and friends.

Important Dates: Autumn 1:
Tuesday 2nd September 25- New term starts.
Monday 13th October 2025- Parents Evening
Monday 20th October 2025- Individual photographs

Seesaw is the fantastic online learning platform we use in Reception. We will use this on a daily basis so PLEASE PLEASE sign up and join in the fun!!
Your child or a familiar adult will upload content to their own secure space, which can then be viewed at school and by your family at home. Each child will bring home a unique code to enable you to access their online space. Seesaw also enables you to comment and contribute to your child's online learning journey, something we really value! It really is a lovely way for you to see all the amazing learning in Class 2 and to stay connected to any messages or key information.

Things to remember:

Class 3 will have PE every Thursday during the first Autumn Term. Children can come to school dressed in their PE kits; navy joggers/ shorts, a white T-shirt and trainers. We are very lucky to have a sports coach joining us this term and will be enjoying a term of games with a Phonics twist!
Each term we will send home a topic takeaway to help you support your child's learning at home. These are suggested activities to enjoy together and will link to each terms topics. You can complete as many as you would like to and upload your pictures on Seesaw and/ or add the completed tasks into your child's home learning book.
