In English, we will be reading a variety of exciting books throughout year 5 which will provide us with great opportunities to develop our writing skills.  We will be reading The Matchbox Diary, Kensuke's Kingdom, A Christmas Carol, Wonder and Oranges in No Man's Land.  You will write biographies, character/setting descriptions, poetry, non-chronological reports, newspaper articles, adverts, play scripts, adventure stories, amongst other types of writing.
