How are making History?

In History, Class 3 have been enjoying our topic, How Are We Making History? We have started by looking at our own personal histories and thinking about how we have changed and grown over time. The children have loved sharing their own memories and talking about special people and events in their lives.

We have been very lucky to welcome parents and relatives into our classroom, who have shared stories, memories and photographs from their past. The children have really enjoyed listening to these stories and asking questions about what life was like when their family members were younger.

We have also been busy creating our own timelines, helping us to put important events in the correct order. We are now beginning to explore toys and everyday objects from the past and compare them with the things we use today. The children are enjoying spotting similarities and differences and discovering how life and the things we use have changed over time.
