Autumn term – Where are we? 

In geography this term we are looking at where we are in the world. We have looked at the UK and know that it is made up of 4 countries. The children have discussed physical and human features and have drawn some key features they have seen in South Shields. We are now looking at maps: why we use maps and how they can help us. We have investigated a variety of aerial photographs and matched them to a normal photograph. The children will use this information to draw their own map of their route to school.
