Welcome to our class page!

Below you will find plenty of important information about our class and the 2026/27 academic year. I am thrilled to be teaching Class 7 this year, and I'm excited for a year filled with fun and incredible progress! Please keep an eye on this page for class information, updates and to see the fun that we are having together! Things to remember:

• Please provide pupils with the correct uniform – navy jumper or cardigan, white polo T-shirt, navy skirt/pinafore/checked dress, navy trousers/shorts and plain black shoes. 
• Please bring in a P.E. kit every Thursday. However, pupils must arrive at school in their regular school uniform. Any earrings need to be taken out or covered for PE. Kits must consist of a white T-shirt, navy shorts/joggers and plimsolls or trainers.
• Swimming lessons will begin in Autumn 2 - after the first half-term break. The swimming kit consists of a towel, swimming hat and costume (no bikinis or surf shorts).
• Remember your home reading books! We will be reading together each day but you should read daily at home too, to maximise your progress. The more practise, the better! Pupils will receive a raffle ticket each day they read at home, with a Class 7 prize draw every Friday.
• Pupils are welcome to bring a fruit snack to have mid-morning. Please ensure this is cut appropriately to avoid choking hazards. 

Homework

Our homework schedule in Class 7 is set to provide pupils with quick, repetitive practice to supplement their learning in Class. This consists of Multiplication practice - with a test each Monday. MyMaths homework is due on Tuesdays. Spelling practice – with a test each Wednesday. Plus a weekly homework booklet which is due each Friday. MyMaths is the only homework which needs to be handed in online.

Reading 

Reading is an essential skill and pupils are expected to have a reading book and record in school every day. This book should go home and someone at home should read it with the child on a daily basis – even for as little as 5 minutes. Please log this in your reading records. Pupils will receive a class raffle ticket for each day they do this – with a prize draw on Fridays. You will also be expected to access Reading Plus, alongside Dreambox Maths at home.
